University of KwaZulu-Natal’s duck continued when they suffered yet another defeat, this time at the hands of high-flying UJ.
It was anyone’s game at the beginning of the match, but the finishing at both ends was below par, as neither side truly threatened the opposition keeper. Halftime arrived and the two teams were deadlocked at 0-0.
25′ gone and neither team able to make a break through yet. Both defences holding strong.

UKZN kicked off the second half on a positive note when just a minute in, Damion Sampson missed a clear-cut opportunity for the his side to take the lead.
The home side would rue their missed chances as not long after Sampson’s miss, a goal came at the opposite end. UJ looked a more composed side as a Tebogo Mandyu pounced on a loose ball in the 52nd minute to hand his side the lead.
With a rock-solid defence, UJ looked comfortable holding on to their lead and all three points.
UJ continue their quest to claim glory as they bagged their third win of the season and moved to 10 points. For UKZN, it was yet another defeat as they remain on 0 points and struggle to find their feet in the competition.
