The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) remained unbeaten as they claimed a victory of 2-0 over the Central University of Technology (CUT) and remain the favourites of the Varsity Women’s Football tournament.
It took 5 minutes for the defending champions, TUT, to make their mark in the game as Salome Dikgale capitalised off a loose ball to take the lead 1-0.
TUT were growing into the game as they controlled the half against a defending CUT outfit. The defence of CUT could not hold on anymore as TUT skipper Kgomotso Mashiloane extended their score to 2-0 leading into halftime.
After the break TUT were still pushing for more goals as chances went begging. With nothing coming out of the second half, the score ended 2-0 in favour of TUT as they marched on to the semi-finals.
