GladAfrica Championship club, Jomo Cosmos, have signed North-West University (NWU) Soccer Institute goalkeeper Kagiso Ramadivhane.
The lanky 25-year-old will stay with Cosmos for the remainder of the resumed 2019-20 football season (two months), with an option to extend – largely dependent on whether ‘Ezenkosi’ survive the relegation battle they find themselves in.
Ramadivhane joins his fellow 2019 Varsity Football champions, Luzuko Jevuka (Mbombela United), Lindani Nkabinde and Mandisi Gadla (both Baroka) in securing professional deals following last year’s success. He is also the second NWU footballer, after Thapelo Tlabakwe in 2017, to sign with the legendary Jomo Sono’s team.
“For me the deal with Cosmos presents not only an opportunity to grow and learn to be a better player, but also to add value,” Ramadivhane tells NWU.ac.za.
Ramadivhane is currently a final-year coaching sciences student at the NWU’s Mafikeng campus
“I am planning to keep this balance so that I can complete my programme and graduate next year.”
